For e-commerce, we have the ability to create market tracking to monitor e-commerce sales in a stand-alone way. IRI is continuously working to recruit participating retailers in any countries, to develop and enhance the online sales market read, including digital sales done into brick and mortar, click and collect sales, and those coming from the pure players.
To move fast to improve the coverage, IRI is looking at sectors one by one to include any relevant e-player, generalist or very high specialised (health and beauty, pet care, wine etc). Extension to further categories will be considered according to releasability as new e-retailers join the panel.

E-Commerce Solution

The market read might be slightly different in terms of content, country and the participant e-retailers. However, in principle, the measurement will be very similar to any other IRI market tracking, and will include at least the following: sales in euro, sales in units, price euro/unit, total number of products, market share and growth rate.
