As president of IRI Global, Baljit “Bal” Dail is responsible for leading and supporting IRI’s go-to-market commercial efforts in the U.S. and internationally and is a member of the IRI Board of Directors.
Prior to joining IRI, Dail served as a senior advisor at New Mountain Capital (NMC). After joining NMC as managing director in 2012, he was actively involved in helping IRI maximize the value of its IRI Liquid Data® technology platform for clients. He also served as chairman and chief executive officer of JDA Software, a global market leader in supply chain software serving the CPG and retail sectors. Under Dail’s leadership, JDA developed a new strategy and brand, increased sales, enhanced its partner ecosystem and completed a material investment by Blackstone Group L.P.
In addition, Dail served in a number of executive roles at Aon Corporation, including chief executive officer of Aon Hewitt Consulting, co-Chief Executive Officer of Aon Hewitt and Chief Information Officer of Aon Corporation. Prior to joining Aon, he spent six years at McKinsey & Co focused on the technology and telecom sector. He began his career in the technology group at Marks & Spencer, a leading retailer in the United Kingdom, and served in various roles at JP Morgan, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Ford Motor Company.
Dail is currently the chairman of the Board of Directors for Model N, a software company in the revenue management space and sits on the Board of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), a not-for-profit organization in the energy sector.
Dail graduated from the University of Warwick with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
