IRI’s Larry Levin to Debut New Data on CBD Sales and Discuss Navigating Center Store Merchandising During Three Sessions at Convenience Retailing University

WHO:

Larry Levin, Executive Vice President, Market and Shopper Intelligence, IRI®
Jessica Lukas, Senior Vice President, Commercial Development, BDS Analytics, Inc.

WHAT:

On Feb. 18, IRI’s Larry Levin and BDS Analytics’ Jessica Lukas will share how the convenience channel is doing among the leading retailer outlets capitalizing on the burgeoning CBD market and its opportune position to drive trips and dollars! During their session, “Trends and Data: Get There First: How Jumping on the CBD Bandwagon Now Can Increases Sales in the Future,” Levin and Lukas will discuss survey results for top products, consumer adoption trends and a comparison of CBD sales in other retail channels, as well as what c-store shoppers also buy when CBD is in the basket.

Later in the day, Levin and Lukas will participate in a panel to discuss everything CBD — from regulations to product mix. Attendees will have the opportunity to get in front of this promising category through lessons provided by the industry’s leading experts.

On Feb. 19, Levin will discuss center store merchandising during his session, “Winning at the Center.” The convenience channel generates nearly one in five CPG dollars but more than 28% of the industry’s growth. Historic categories are continuing to lead the industry, but an infusion of “better-for-you” food and beverage innovation is helping drive outsized growth for the channel. Levin provides ideas and answers that promote understanding of what is driving consumer adoption and patronage of the U.S. convenience-store channel.

WHY:

The new age of retail is competitive and full of forward-thinking leaders. To compete effectively in the convenience store and center store channels, category managers, buyers and decision-makers must submit to new trends, products and approaches, as well as learn the latest dos and don'ts to understand the unpredictable consumer.
