Diverse supplier ecosystems have proven to be effective in combating social injustice and generating economic opportunities for disadvantaged communities. With our deep data, analytics and technology expertise, coupled with strong retailer relationships, IRI is uniquely positioned to support and accelerate supplier diversity in the consumer goods industry.

The IRI Diversity Advantage Program (DAP) was created by employee volunteers to support our vision of a fair and equitable consumer goods industry. It's a way to do our part to help level the playing field for those smaller businesses from under-represented groups.

The DAP supports ethnically diverse FMCG companies that are looking to take the next step to growth.

We work closely with ADDPSALT, a purpose-led retail brand accelerator created to support diversity within FMCG, to identify ‘DAP’ers as well as various UK retailer recommendations, many of whom have their own diverse supplier programs.

Program Details

The DAP makes IRI's assets and expertise available to members of the programme to help them forge stronger partnerships with large retailers and more easily scale their companies.

Companies that are part of the IRI DAP benefit from an IRI coach, a retail partner and a relationship manager along with data, training and consultative services so that they have a rich source of resources to help them grow their business.

In Summary;

  • Each year we will support 3 ethnically diverse brands each year to develop and build their footprint within the UK FMCG market.
  • We will share our expertise and assets to help the ‘DAP’ers develop and cement their brand proposition through increased knowledge and understanding of the shopper, the category and their role within in.
  • Ultimately, the aim is for the ‘DAP’ers to build distribution beyond their existing footprint whether that be within retailers where they’re already stocked or by gaining listings and commercial agreements with new retailers.
