IRI Is Donating 905 Hours In Time This Month To Support The Vital Work Of Charity Organisations Across The Community
Sydney, Australia – 21 October 2019 – IRI®, a global leader in innovative solutions and services for consumer, retail and media companies, is donating 905 hours in staff time to a number of small and large charity organisations during the month of October. The donation involves 181 IRI staff from across the company’s Melbourne and Sydney offices stopping work and heading out to different charity organisations to donate their time for an entire day. IRI’s Melbourne office downed tools on Friday 18 October and the Sydney office takes part this coming Friday, 25 October.
Paul Hinds, Managing Director Asia Pacific, for IRI, said: “Our annual charity days are an important part of IRI’s business and staff community. Our people nominate which charities they would like to support and collectively as an entire team, we agree on a number each year that align with our focus, values and passion as people.
“This year we are donating some 905 hours of time across two of our offices in Sydney and Melbourne to a number of charity organisations. Our people are excited about getting out into the community, and importantly, determined to make a difference assisting the vital work of these charity organisations.
“Our people are rolling up their sleeves and getting involved with activities such as: preparing and serving lunch and making coffee/tea and engaging with the community at The Salvation Army, assembling furniture at Ronald McDonald House Westmead, selling badges for Melbourne Legacy, sorting, slicing and bagging bread for Gift of Bread, taking care of pets at the RSPCA, selling bandannas as part of CanTeen’s National Bandanna Day this month to support young people living with cancer, and much more.
“Our people are putting themselves into the real business of helping others. Some of the work isn’t easy, it is emotionally confronting and also extremely physical.
“I am really proud of our people for wanting to take part in a such a significant contribution each year and as an organisation, we are honoured and humbled to be in position where we can enable it to happen.”
