Description:  Designed for sales people, marketing professionals, and analysts, this workshop integrates the processes of category management in a way that provides ample opportunity for practice, execution, and evaluation of the differing approaches in use today. The course explains what category management is and how to develop category management strategies.

Topics include: Key Components of a Comprehensive Category Management Approach for Manufacturers • The Key Roles and Responsibilities of Retailer Category Managers • Incorporating the Concepts of Category Management Into Business Building Initiatives • Tools Commonly Applied by Category Managers to Perform Their Jobs • Ways to Apply Manufacturer’s Expertise (Category Definition, Strategy, Role And Positioning) to Category Management

This course is accredited by the Category Management Association (CMA) and addresses (either alone or in conjunction with other IRI courses) one or more of the CMA Learning Programs required for CMA certification.
