This IRI Private Label 2014 Special Report provides insight into how private label is performing across seven European countries and the United States.

An evolving retail landscape, the rise of the savvy shopper and a fierce price war between retailers has seen the first signs of a slowdown and even a decline in some markets for private label since the start of the recession. Private label value market share across Europe dropped by -0.1 pt to 38.7% of all value sales compared to a year ago – still a significant proportion of the total market.
