Hotel Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact the hotel before 4:00pm local times 3 days prior to your arrival in order to avoid 1 night’s room and tax being charged to the credit card on file. Please be advised that a charge of one night’s room and tax rate will apply in the event of any early departure after check-in.

How to go to Royal Lancaster London

London Underground:
Lancaster Gate: Lancaster Gate (Central Line) tube station is adjacent to the hotel. The line connects with Oxford Circus, Holborn (British Museum) and Liverpool Street among other iconic London locations in less than 15 minutes.

Paddington: Paddington tube and railway stations are a mere 6 minute walk from the hotel. The tube station has access to 4 different lines and the railway station connects London with Heathrow via Heathrow Express as well as with other regional and national lines going to British cities such as Bath, Oxford, Reading, Windsor or Cardiff.

London Buses:
There are many bus routes (94 and 148) passing the hotel that are connected with some of the most remarkable London places such as Victoria, Soho, Piccadilly or Oxford Street.

Commuting from Saint Pancras Eurostar Terminal :
The Circle or Hammersmith & City line goes directly from King’s Cross St. Pancras to Paddington, followed by 7 minutes’ walk. Alternatively, there are two options with one change each:

  • Victoria line from King’s Cross St. Pancras to Oxford Circus and change to Central Line to Lancaster Gate station (located just underneath the hotel)
  • Piccadilly line from King’s Cross St. Pancras to Holborn and change to Central Line to Lancaster Gate station (located just underneath the hotel)
All of the above are just below 20 minutes. If you wish to take a taxi, that shouldn’t take longer than 30 minutes.

 

Commuting from Heathrow Airport:
Our hotel is located only half an hour from Heathrow via Heathrow Express, in Paddington Station.

The Heathrow Express is the quickest way to get to the city centre from Heathrow Airport, taking between 15 and 20 minutes. The train stops at Paddington and runs every 15 minutes from 5:15 in the morning to 11:30 pm approximately.
A one-way ticket costs £22 and a return ticket costs £37 (valid for a month). But if you buy ahead of time you can get these tickets from only £12.50.

Taxi - It can take up to an hour to get to the city centre and will cost between £50 and £90.

Commuting from Gatwick Airport:
Gatwick Express connects Gatwick Airport to Victoria station in about 30 minutes and then a direct bus connects Victoria Station to our hotel. The bus journey takes approximately 20 minutes.

Commuting from Stansted Airport:
Stansted Express connects Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street station in just about 45 minutes. The journey from Liverpool Street to Lancaster Gate is about 15 minutes via the Central Line.

Commuting from Luton Airport:
The Luton Express connects Luton Airport to Kings Cross Station. Kings Cross to Lancaster Gate is a 25-minute journey via the Hammersmith line or Circle line to Paddington.

Commuting from London City Airport
The DLR from London City Airport to Bank Station and then the Central Line to Lancaster Gate will take approximately 50 minutes.
