Elorrio, 17 July 2017 - EROSKI is taking another step in its technological empowerment with the implementation in Spain of an innovative supplier collaboration platform. The new platform intends to be a qualitative leap in the improvement of the competitiveness of Eroski’s product offering, helping them to provide new solutions to customers

To this end, the cooperative and the technology partner, IRI, have entered into a pioneering cooperation agreement in the Spanish market. They will both present the platform to the cooperative´s suppliers in the next months, and will adopt specific collaboration frameworks with each of them.

The innovative platform is based on the processing of large amounts of data, which are generated from the information shared by EROSKI’s loyalty card together with nextgeneration management models. The portal seeks to improve in-store assortment that better meets the needs of the customers and gives them more savings. The link with Customer Members is one of the pillars of the “Contigo” business model, which the cooperative has consolidated in recent years with the EROSKI Club programme. EROSKI’s new collaboration pla tform with suppliers will use IRI’s Liquid Data technology and will enable EROSKI and its suppliers to make shared decisions to improve consumers’ experience, through the optimization of assortment, the freedom of choice, the price, the promotional strategy, and the research and development of new products.

IRI’s Liquid Data® technology is the Big Data technology for CPG. It is a pioneering technology which has already been implemented in the United States, with more than 400 platforms, and in Europe, in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany or Italy.
