IRI’s Larry Levin and ConAgra’s Liz Mohr to Highlight Effective Activation Strategies at Shopper Marketing EXPO 2012

Shoppers are utilizing online information like never before to determine the best products to purchase and best stores at which to shop based on their unique definitions of value. They research brand and channel websites, consumer blogs and online reviews as part of their decision-making process. However, as with every other facet of the shopping experience, there are unique strategies within every household. Some shoppers won’t make a move without checking online, while others look up information once a week at most. Some are motivated by online reviews, others by online coupons.

Larry Levin from SymphonyIRI and Liz Mohr of ConAgra will lead a session, titled “Understanding and Activating Shoppers in the 21st Century.” Levin will review innovative SymphonyIRI research that segments shoppers based on their use of technology during their shopping experiences and everyday lives. Mohr will provide a detailed example of how one CPG leader has successfully created and executed segmentation and activation strategies based on shoppers’ online behaviors.

WHY: Digital is the rapidly-emerging standard in reaching and activating shoppers, but it is less clear how shoppers are acclimating and engaging in personalized communications across the digital spectrum. Attendees will learn about new information on economic and digital segmentations, better understand how to effectively develop and activate retailer-specific digital marketing campaigns that effectively drive trips and basket sizes, and discover ways to leverage digital learning across the organization to drive increased ROI.
