The blurring of eating occasions has expanded the snacking universe and other categories are taking a “bite” out of some traditional snack categories. Occasion-based innovation and communication is a common theme across the industry. The battle for breakfast was intense in 2013, but there are areas of opportunity across the day and occasions to drive growth.
